Front2back Landscapes is committed in providing professional garden design and landscaping across the West Midlands and the Worcestershire area. I personally have over 25 years’ experience and can oversee your project from the design stage through to the planting.
We specialise in mainly hard landscaping such as natural stone walls, natural pools and waterfalls, timber pergolas, brickwork, built in barbecue areas, and patios. I am also available to quote for fencing projects, turfing, artificial turf and much more.
I have previously worked as the contracts manager for a large landscapes company in the area and decided now is the time to set up my own company. This new venture is a partnership with my wife and she will be furnishing you with a written firm priced quotation and invoices.
All waste will be removed by a registered waste carrier and waste transfer notices will be obtained without fail.
In summary you will receive a professional service from start to finish, along with your new beautiful landscaped garden, which will be built to the best of standard at extremely reasonable rates.
We can retain levels using different materials, the most economical way of undertaking this is by using timber sleepers. We only use sleepers which are pressure treated and could last you up to 15 years.
Alternatively, you may opt for natural stone walls and this stone can be supplied in various types, colours and sizes. York stone walls are always a favourite which I have in my own garden for an extremely natural and rustic look.
We can undertake traditional lap fencing with concrete posts and gravel boards, however you may wish to upgrade to a feather board fence for a stronger and more durable boundary line.
There are many other types of fencing we can offer you i.e. stock proofing, wicket timber fencing, and different ornate timber types of fencing and trellis are available.
All of our ponds are bespoke to our client’s needs and sizes. We offer two types of construction, the optimum one would be fibre-glassed on-site, alternatively we could use a pond liner which is more economical.
To create an extremely natural look we can over cover the fibreglass or liner with stone and rock to conceal the liner/fibreglass from view to give a very natural look to the design.
Waterfalls and streams can also be incorporated which will add interest to the feature.
If a pond is not an option we can offer a range of smaller self-contained water features, such as drilled rock bubblers or millstone bubblers.
Again these features are bespoke to you and come in various styles and sizes. I personally have a twisted brick pillar pergola in my garden, with a tiled roof allowing us a dry alfresco area to dine out even on rainy days.
If this is too extravagant, we can create a timber pergola which could either be in a starburst shape, a simple squared shape or a running archway. All of which could be over covered so you can use it in inclement weather.
Decking is an innovative way of using a usable area in your garden. It consists of the sub frame, which can be constructed over the most uneven levels. Decking boards will be placed on top of the sub frame to form a level surface for alfresco dining, sun lounger etc.
The type of boards which could be used can vary depending on the style you would like to achieve.
Grooved soft timber decking boards can be used for a traditional look and because the boards are tannalised they still give you a long lease of life.
Anti slip boards will eliminate the worry of a slippery surface in inclement weather and hardwood boards will give you a long lasting feature for many years. We also offer millboard, which is a composite decking to create an extremely contemporary look.
To add a finishing touch to your newly landscaped garden we can lay you a new lawn using cultivated turf, creating beautiful instant lawn with exceptional quality.
If you like the idea of a lawn for all seasons, you may decide to opt for artificial turf. Allowing your garden to be more maintenance free, as once laid there is no mowing, scarafiy or fertilizing.
We use Nam grass which is exceptional on quality and comes in various styles and pile heights, even catering for pets.
Our standard artificial turf will be laid on drainage grit which will create a substantial base to avoid dips and hollows in the future.
When required tannalised timber boards, blocks pavers or metal edging surround the area, to create a defined delineation.
A new driveway can give you property kerb appeal, plus that extra car space is always useful.
There are many different types of driveways available, you could have a gravel driveway for an economical way to achieve a clean and tidy coverage.
We will ensure to supply you with gravel which is suitable for driveway, as not all are. Plus we will always incorporate a blocked paved threshold between the pavement and your driveway to adhere to the highway’s legislation.
Blocked paved driveways are always a favourite, we can offer the traditional blocked paving, however another look you may opt for is a tumbled block for a courtyard effect. These can be supplied in one size for an unformal look, however mixing the blocks using three different sizes give the drive that extra special look.
We can also offer tarmac driveways where we can edge the drive with blocks and then a tarmac expert will over cover the area, with the appropriate depth of tarmac.
All of our driveways will be laid on a base of MOT type 1 hard-core to avoid sinkage at a later date, I cannot stress how important this is and should never be compromised.
Add interest and height to the garden with some timber arches
